COVID TESTING IN NOVI NOW AVAILABLE!
We now carry both RAPID and PCR COVID testing.
Rapid Testing:
Our rapid testing is a nasopharyngeal swab that will yield results in 15-20 minutes.
While this is a quicker test, it is less reliable than our offered PCR testing.
We can offer to run a COVID test with a FLU test at the same time, with the same swab, saving you time and being tested twice.
PCR Testing:
Our PCR testing is also a nasopharyngeal swab that will yield results within 1-2 business days. After your exam, our office will contact you upon receiving your results.
Though these results take longer to receive, there is an increased reliability of this testing compared to the rapid testing.
If you need a PCR in 24 hours for travel or other reasons please let us know and we can update you on our process.
How to get a test?
In office
We can see you in our urgent care and you can be evaluated by one of our providers. You will be able to ask questions and get medical advice.
Curbside
You can call ahead and pay for a rapid test online. Once we receive payment we can call and schedule you for a curbside test. We cannot perform the PCR on curbside at this time.
Payment
We will bill insurance if you see one of our providers.
We will charge $100.00 for a rapid test. PCR testing is only available for patients who come into our urgent care.
Our rapid test is very ‘sensitive’ (meaning it is very accurate) when it is positive. If it is negative and you are symptomatic it is about 92% specific and that is when we would consider sending out a PCR test as well.
Please call ahead and let us know when you are coming and we will ask you to come in from the back of our building once you are called in.
